EducationLink: Connect to Gmail

Learn how to allow users of your organization to connect to Gmail

  1. Go to https://console.cloud.google.com/getting-started

> Enable Google Cloud Platform (with your GSuite account logged in)

  1. Go to https://console.cloud.google.com/projectcreate

> Add a new project (can be named “EducationLink Integration”).

  1. Go to https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/library/gmail.googleapis.com

> Enable Gmail API for your new application.

 

  1. Go to https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/credentials/consent

> Create an “Internal”  OAuth consent screen.

  1. Go to https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/credentials

> Create new application under OAuth consent screen.

  1. Go to https://console.cloud.google.com/apis/credentials/oauthclient

> Application type “Web application

> Under “Authorised redirect URIs”, add 2 URIs:

    – https://app.geteducation.link/_oauth/google?close

    – https://providers.geteducation.link/_oauth/google?close

> After “Save”, Google will provide you “Client ID” and “Client secret“.

 

  1. Go to https://app.geteducation.link/organization/add-ons

 > Copy and paste “Client ID” and “Secret” to Gmail add-on settings.

Now, users in your organization can connect to their Gmail accounts.
