Our unique programming approach, which is tailored to the individual needs and interests of each child who attends, is aligned with the My Time, Our Place Framework for School Age Care in Australia.
The great thing about Your OSHC is that no 2 days are the same. As your child’s needs and interests evolve, so too do our programs.
In every session of before and after school care, your Coordinator and their team of educators hold showcase activities to engage the children in your service. This could include a cooking activity where the children make vegemite scrolls or apple muffins, a sporting activity where everybody gets together for game of hockey or soccer, mindfulness through yoga and meditation, the options are endless.
If your child feels like doing a range of varied and exciting activities in the one session, we always have our experiences zones set up so they have the power of choice and the freedom of variety. These experience zones are often including: board games, art and craft, construction zone, outdoor play, performing arts, mindfulness and more. Plus we have the homework club where our educators are more than happy to sit and work with your child, and the quiet zone for any child that just wants some rest after a long day at school. Depending on your location there’s 3 main day types of term-time OSHC.
At before school care we start your child’s day with a healthy breakfast. We then build their confidence, ahead of the school day, by engaging in a social activity with old friends and new. At after school care we have a bigger activity planned, to help your child learn through the experiences that they have. Plus, we provide a healthy afternoon snack to fuel their young minds.
Our Pupil Free Days see your child experiencing a full-day of varied and tailored experiences. This is a great way for your child to socialise with all their friends on their day off, whilst learning and building confidence. At our pupil free day sessions, we’ll provide your child with a healthy breakfast and afternoon snack – but we do ask that you pack their lunch for the day and any other food that you may want them to have. Also speak to the coordinator at your service to find out what’s planned at your school.
